Meet Ana Ramirez, recruiter in the Recruitment Operations Center at Boca Raton Resort & Club, A Waldorf Astoria Resort

The Story

United States Army veteran Ana Ramirez spent nine years on the front lines, helping the U.S. Army Medical Department Activity (MEDDAC). After transitioning out of the Army, Ana made her way to Hilton through Operation: Opportunity. For the past five years, Ana has worked as a recruiter in the Recruitment Operations Center at Boca Raton Resort and Club – a Waldorf Astoria Resort in Florida.

Ana shows an unparalleled level of commitment, passion and respect for others in her work. A guest experienced Ana’s dedication and generosity when the guest stopped by the recruitment center to request directions to the nearest department store. The guest had forgotten to pack a suit blouse for a very important conference where she was scheduled to be a guest speaker. The always-resourceful Ana kept a clean suit blouse in her office for unexpected instances and immediately offered it to the guest. The guest took Ana up on her kind offer, later returning the blouse and sending flowers and a note to express her appreciation.

As a recruiter, Ana coaches and consults veterans on how they can apply their skills toward a hospitality career with Hilton. One of her proudest connections is when she recruited a military veteran to a maintenance tech role with one of our properties. Three years later, that Team Member is now the Assistant Maintenance Manager.

Ana sees the value in all Team Members and guests, sharing her commitment and generosity with all who cross her path. Ana, thank you for all that you do to spread the warmth of hospitality and help bring more wonderful veterans to Hilton.
