Meet Grant Stitt, Director of Safety and Security at Dallas Lincoln Center

The Story

After serving 29 years in the U.S. Army as an M1 Abrams Tank Turret Technician and U.S. Air Force Air Guard in logistics and aerial port squadron, Grant Stitt made his way to Hilton as Director of Safety and Security at Dallas Lincoln Center.

Grant has a can-do attitude and service mentality with the ability to adapt and overcome tough challenges. He is a member of the Hilton task force program where Hilton Team Members are grouped together to help hotels in emergency situations.

Teamwork is a common theme in Grant’s work style. For instance, when the housekeeping department was short on help and a large number of rooms needed servicing, Grant rallied around other Team Members to assist the department so the rooms would be ready when guests arrived.

Similarly, when the hotel switched one of their officer’s uniforms to a suit he saw the officer struggling to identify the proper size. Grant reached out and took the officer shopping to help find a proper fitting suit.

“Hospitality requires problem solving and the military is good at solving problems. In the hotel world, we call these ‘opportunities.’ Each day can bring a new set of challenges or opportunities, whether it be guest related or operational. That is one of the things that makes [Hilton] a right fit for me, not to mention the great benefits that Hilton offers to its employees,” said Grant.

Grant knows the value of teamwork for problem solving and finding success. Grant, thank you for embodying our Mission in all that you do.
