Hilton Worldwide celebrated the company’s annual volunteer campaign completing more than 2,400 volunteer projects in over 700 cities in 72 countries throughout the month of October. Now in its second year, Global Week of Service is Hilton Worldwide’s largest annual volunteer service event which recognizes the company’s service and volunteer culture and strengthens the communities Hilton Worldwide serves.
Hilton Worldwide Team Members have spent this week spreading the light and warmth of hospitality, while helping to improve the communities where they live, work and travel. On day six of Hilton Worldwide’s Global Week of Service, Team Members led more than 165 service projects around the world, ranging from refurbishing residential homes and community centers to helping preserve a national landmark. All events were focused on creating long-term local impact as part of the company’s efforts to Travel with Purpose™.
Hilton Worldwide Team Members Collect More Than 700 Pounds of Garbage Along the Thames River; Just One of the More Than 200 Service Projects Initiated on Day 5 of Global Week of Service
Volunteer projects continued around the globe on day five of Hilton Worldwide’s Global Week of Service and included beach and river clean ups, support of food banks and school revitalizations. Over 200 Team Members led projects benefitting local communities including Dallas, Orange County, California, Shanghai and London – all focused on providing long-term impact as part of Hilton Worldwide’s commitment to Travel with Purpose™.
Hilton Worldwide Hosts More than 100 Service Events Around the World on Day 3 of Global Week of Service
Hilton Worldwide Team Members continued to spread their passion for hospitality and service on day three of the Hilton Worldwide Global Week of Service, hosting service events around the world including events in Watford, England; Istanbul, Turkey; and Orlando, FL. Service events ranged from school refurbishment projects to a coastal area clean up. All events focused on enhancing local communities as part of the company’s efforts to Travel with Purpose™.
Day four of Hilton Worldwide Global Week of Service included more than 200 volunteer projects around the world including revamping and improving shelters and schools; providing youth with lessons on countries and cultures; and mentoring aspiring hospitality talent. Team Members across 90 countries and territories are uniting to extend their spirit of hospitality and improve the communities in which they live and work as part of the company’s efforts to Travel with Purpose™. Today Hilton Worldwide kicked-off its second annual Global Week of Service, uniting Team Members across 90 countries and territories to spread the light and warmth of hospitality by participating in hands-on service projects in their local communities. The event launched with Christopher J. Nassetta, president and chief executive officer, Hilton Worldwide and 115 Team Members from the Global Headquarters in McLean, Va. helping to assemble food packs for distribution to local schools.
