Verre By Gordon Ramsay Celebrates Eight Years With Michelin Starred Guest Chef, Angela Hartnett!
Renowned British Chef, Angela Hartnett joins forces with Head Chef, Matt Pickop and the rest of the culinary team of Hilton Dubai Creek, marking eight years of the Gordon Ramsay concept with a ‘Verre
DUBAI, UAE - The Hilton Dubai Creek is proud to welcome the home coming of celebrated culinary maestro, Angela Hartnett, who as Head Chef helmed the launch of the multi award-winning Verre by Gordon Ramsay in 2001.
Angela returns to Dubai to mark the eight anniversary of the distinguished Verre by Gordon Ramsay on the 9th and 10th of November. The visit will see her join forces with famed Hilton Dubai Creek’s Executive Head Chef, Matt Pickop, to serve diners the ultimate journey in the ‘Ramsay’ food concept.
“It’s been eight years since we launched Verre, Gordon’s first-ever international venture, and it holds a special place in all our hearts. Gordon’s vision of Dubai was right on target, the city has blossomed into a culinary haven. It gives me great pride to return to Verre, a restaurant that has truly made its mark, and of course Dubai, one of the most vibrant cities in the world”, said Angela Hartnett.
The ‘Verre meets Murano’ menu brings together two of Gordon’s most famous restaurants, providing Dubai’s culinary connoisseurs the opportunity to savour the talents of two great chefs, in one extraordinary menu. The Dinners will be personally hosted by Angela and Matt, where diners can expect nothing less than an atmosphere of celebration, masterful service, and culinary genius that best exemplifies Gordon Ramsay’s prolific style.
Michelin starred chef, television personality and author, Angela will also offer the city’s cooking enthusiasts a chance to learn her ‘tricks’ in the kitchen with an intimate cooking master class on the 10th of November.
Signature hospitality and off-the-cuff expertise from culinary masters, Angela and Matt, will present master class participants with a rare opportunity to experience a celebrity chef demonstration and share a three-course meal with a culinary idol.
“Verre” became Dubai’s first celebrity chef restaurant when it opened in 2001 and has since delivered an atmosphere of understated elegance perfectly paired with the finest Modern European cuisine around town. Faultless service and attention to detail are those little extras that have become synonymous with the Gordon Ramsay name and have ultimately put the restaurant in a class of its own.
In the last seven years, Angela Hartnett has emerged as one of Britain’s most successful and best-loved chefs. Angela oversees two of Gordon Ramsay’s award-winning restaurants in London; Murano a fine-dining Italian restaurant in the heart of Mayfair and York & Albany, that offers patrons personalized service and ‘home-from-home’ ambience on the edge of London’s Regents Park.
Murano has recently been awarded a Michelin star in the 2009 guide and also won Best Newcomer in the ‘Harden’s London Restaurant Guide 2010’ and the ‘Zagat London Restaurant Guide 2010’. In July 2009, Angela was the first woman to be awarded the coveted ‘Chef of the Year’ at the Cateys Awards. She also won ‘Newcomer of the Year’ at the Harper’s Bazaar ‘Women of the Year’ awards in September 2009.
‘Verre meets Murano’ Dinners will be available exclusively on the 9th and 10th of November at Verre by Gordon Ramsay.
‘Ramsay’s Culinary Masters’ Master Class is scheduled for the 10th of November also at Verre by Gordon Ramsay, from 10 am until 1pm.
