New Neptune Hampton Inn Opens Early to Accommodate Local Residents Displaced by Hurricane Sandy
Hampton Hotels’ staff hosted Thanksgiving Dinner for affected guests
NEPTUNE, N.J. - Hampton Hotels, the global brand of nearly 1,900 mid-priced Hampton Inn, Hampton Inn & Suites, and Hampton by Hilton hotels, today announced the opening of its newest property, the 109-room Hampton Inn Neptune/Wall located at 4 McNamara Way. The property officially opened early on November 14th to accommodate community members from Ocean and Monmouth counties who were displaced by Hurricane Sandy damage.
"When we heard from local emergency departments that people in our community needed a place to stay after their homes had been severely damaged by Hurricane Sandy, we immediately worked with the Hampton Hotels team and our ownership group to open two weeks early and welcome them in," said Rich Cambeis, general manager of the Hampton Inn Neptune/Wall. "We've been at full capacity housing relief workers and storm victims ever since we opened and are happy to host them for as long as they need."
Team members from the Hampton Inn Neptune/Wall also worked with a local vendor to provide a full sit-down Thanksgiving dinner for all guests at the property. Cambeis added, "We wanted to provide our displaced neighbors some of the comfort of home this holiday season. It was the least we could do during this difficult time."
The hotel is owned and operated by Longwood Hospitality, LLC and is the first Hampton property in Neptune, ahead of five more Hampton hotels slated to be opened in New Jersey and more than 250 Hampton properties in the pipeline in the U.S.
The Hampton Inn Neptune/Wall is located across the street from the Jersey Shore Premium Outlets and is just 10 minutes from the vibrant Jersey Shore beaches and boardwalks. This Neptune hotel is only two miles from the iconic music town of Asbury Park, home to the Asbury Park Convention Hall, one of America's important historic venues, as well as the historic village of Allaire, which is just five miles from the new hotel. The Hampton Inn Neptune/Wall features amenities such as free hot breakfast, 24-hour business center, modern fitness facility, and an indoor pool. All guestrooms are equipped with the Clean and Fresh Hampton bedTM, free high-speed internet access, lap desk and HDTV. All suites additionally include an under-the-counter refrigerator, microwave, bar sink and sleeper sofa.
